GODS ALMIGHTY

                                         "GODS ALMIGHTY"

Ours a land of gods crore,

some says its thirty six and more.

Stones, trees, mountains and streams,

                we pine to revere everythings.

We strive to starve the poors,

some says they die of their labours.

One more temple one more church,

Oh! that mosque been left in lurch.

God said to be the mightiest,

                now has gone the wealthiest.

Tons of milk been poured on shrine,

they are bathed with glut of brine.

Millions of candles lit under one roof,

but billions of roofs left to give dark proof.

Priests,monks, maulvi, and clergy,

                sing of the god's elegy.

Thousands of acres are set for god's abode,

on the footpaths homeless are often trod.

God demands alms, clothes, sweets, and wealth,

some says they want coolers for their health.

God says " I cannot be salubrious,

the amount of fat I get is not nutritious."

Gods are fed in lavish procession,

where sixty of hundred kids suffer malnutrition.

Thousands of cows and lambs are slaughtered,

for the god who has let them sheltered.

Theists travel thousand miles and climb mountains,

to have the peace which lie at their own sense.

Heavy prayers , lurking longings,

with a handful of bribe on shoulder's hangings.

Blaming the god for every misfortune,

willing the favourite god to dance to their tune.

Different gods, different religions, different disciples,

but all converge to single gospel.

Being an atheist what more I say,

bless me almighty god to be happy and gay.
