"THE DARK LORD"
When the lord of dark encroaches without hustle, the whole earth dozes leaving every tussel.
The king spares his spectre, the traveller halts his foot, while the nocturnal owl marks its reign, with its husky, plaintive hoot.
Oh! Listen to the bat's mourning, whittling the silence with its waves. The cricket starts his soulful singing, as though coying for his paramour from dark caves.
Watch the moon and stars twinkling, ripping the darkness with butcher's deft. The street lamps begin to torch winkling, spying the felons doing any theft.
The time comes for happy lovers to cling, lost in each other in utopian dream. Mothers suckle their infants on swing, singing lullaby to hush the kids babbling stream.
The night bridges every differences, there lies no tawny no fair. Having smudged all the semblances, it binds the humanity with avid care.
Everyone blacks, everyone sleeps, everything stops, nothing creeps but wheels of time forever move, gloom lingers the glistening of the sun, yet it can't balk the gush of sunray's groove.
