"FORTUNE"
The almighty which makes us dance to its tune,
the uncertain, the unearthed , the unaccessed name is fortune.
We think we have gone omnipotent,
controlling our life with our reign.
Though we bow our head to much extent,
before deadly, devilish, omenous fortune's vain.
The richer thinks will get richer more,
the poorer dreams will get the god's benediction,
the rich or poor linger at the same shore,
they know not are a part of fortune's fiction.
The king craves to win the earth,
the pawn wills to be the king.
Fortune chides both who are in glut and dearth,
blowing the kingdoms and dreams on its wing.
The sailors prides he sails the sea,
the fisherman displays his nets catching fishes.
They think they own their life and glee,
the furtive fortune leers at their accomplishes.
The students toil tough for success,
the traders get novel tricks for gain.
Yet they are just the pawns of chess,
who endeavour hard but in vain.
Astrologers, soothsayers and priests bet
of foretelling the vagaries and ironies of life.
But none have reign over the vicissitude of fate,
which only perseverance can triumph the lordship of its strife.....
