I lurked on my reflection
in the water of the pit,
my face had dirt
my leg had bruise.
I stared on my reflection
in the mirror of the room,
my face had cream
my mind had classroom.
I sneaked my reflection
in the glass of college canteen,
my cheek had pimples
my eyes had circles.
I looked at my reflection
in the pane of my car,
my hair had grey streak
my chin had stubble.
I dodged my reflection
in the lenses of my specs,
my forehead had worries
my teeth had holes.
I skipped my reflection
in the window of my mansion,
my hands had fortune
my hair had limp.
I got scared of my reflection
in the ECG of my bed,
my face had wrinkles
my nose had pipes.
I bid farewell to my reflection
in the darkness of my death,
my spirit had escaped
my body had rest.
Don't be proud,
don't feel privileged,
life has shade
your fortune will fade.
I will live with the reflection
in the words of my life,
my life will succumb
but my words will blaze.
